Oklahoma's First Pyramid House c. 1976

The pyramid house was built in 1976, for Gary and Debra Noble, on 33 acres outside of Coyle.   The home took 17 months to complete, since everything had to be cut at an angle.  The foundation was built in a cross shape to get the peak of the pyramid to come to a point.  Every room in the house was built with three or five sides.  The house included a sun deck on three sides.

Interesting and daring home, it looks like it is a place it would have been enjoyable to spend some time in. Having lived most of my life in Vermont where this would have been the talk of the town I must wonder what the reaction was in 1970’s Oklahoma.
Oddly enough I discovered this website while looking up the 1976 movie “The Pyramid”. Thanks for the website!

Hey Maggie,

I got to grow up in this house its amazing. I love its still know as the Noble house even though it has a new owner know. My mom and our dad built what had never been done before and I have yet to find another.

I have a few pics of the “in progress” stage somewhere. I woke up this morn thinking of that house. Googled it and found this post... and your comment only a few days ago... synchronicity..

Is this house owned? Or is it abandoned now?
